Ulaanbaatar, June 10, 2025 /MONTSAME/. On June 9, 2025, the Aviation Meteorological Center under the National Agency for Meteorology and Environment Monitoring of Mongolia received the International Quality Management Certificate ISO 9001:2015.
The Center first adopted a quality-management system for its aviation meteorological services in 2013 under the Chicago Convention of the International Civil Aviation Organization, implementing ISO 9001:2008 and becoming a pioneer in Mongolia’s meteorological sector. In 2018, the Center began upgrading its system to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
The introduction of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality-Management System is expected to strengthen the integrated environmental protection management network, bring sectoral management up to international standards, enhance staff members’ professional and interpersonal skills, and reduce workplace factors that adversely affect health and productivity.
