President Khurelsukh Arrives in Vietnam for a State Visit

Hanoi, November 1, 2023 /MONTSAME. President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, with his spouse Bolortsetseg Luvsandorj, arrived in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, on November 1, 2023, to pay a State Visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV).
Upon arrival at the Noi Bai International Airport, President Khurelsukh and the Mongolian delegation were greeted by the Chairman of the Presidential Office of Vietnam Le Khanh Hai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam J. Sereejav, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam, and other officials.
Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam established diplomatic relations on November 17, 1954, and this Visit is taking place on the eve of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
From Mongolia, the General Secretary of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and Chairman of the Council of Ministers Tsedenbal Yumjaa visited the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 1959, followed by President of Mongolia Ochirbat Punsalmaa in 1994, President of Mongolia Bagabandi Natsag in 2005, and President of Mongolia Elbegdorj Tsakhia in 2013.
The State Visit of the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to Vietnam is a remarkable event, as it is the first visit by a Mongolian Head of State to Vietnam after ten years.
From Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh visited Mongolia in 1955, followed by President of the SRV Tran Duc Luong in 2000, President of the SRV Nguyen Minh Triet in 2008, and Acting President of the SRV Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh in 2017.
