Tests being carried out on water samples from Khuvsgul Lake

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A working group in charge of conducting ecological risk assessment at Khuvsgul Lake worked at Khatgal, Khuvsgul aimag on August 7.
In the framework of comprehensive measures to be taken to reduce the lake’s pollution, the sunken Sukhbaatar ship is planned to be retrieved as starters. In its frames, divers and rescuers will conduct a detailed inspection on the sunken ship to assess the situation and decide on the necessary equipment. Furthermore, specialists of the Water Policy Coordination Department of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism are carrying out tests on samples from the lake.
Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Urtnasan is leading the working group in charge of the works.
