“CMT DIGITAL” tourism fair held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ "CMT 2021" international tourism fair was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, “CMT DIGITAL” fair was held on January 26 by the exhibition administration of Stuttgart city, Germany.
Travel and tourism industry has been heavily hit by the globally spread pandemic and it is expected to affect further development of the sector. In particular, Europeans are preferring active, eco-friendly and conscious travels rather than expensive special service and luxury holidays. Moreover, the demand for travel cars and specially equipped vehicles has risen drastically in time of the coronavirus. This new trend is possible to have positive impact on the tourism development of our country that has vast territory and beautiful nature.
Mongolia planned to participate as a partner country of the CMT exhibition 2021. Even though the CMT-2021 was cancelled due to the pandemic, Mongolia is willing to extend the cooperation agreement and become partner country of the exhibition in 2022, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Federal Republic Germany D.Ganbat said during his attendance to the digital fair.
The CMT (Caravan, Motor, Touristik) or the world’s largest consumer show for tourism and leisure presents tourism products offered by countries in addition to providing opportunities to conclude contract on the spot and purchase products.
