4.0 magnitude earthquake recorded in Uvs aimag

Uvs /MONTSAME/. A 4.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in an
area, 64km southeast from Sagil soum of Uvs aimag, at 01:25:45, May 12. As the
area is located near the Russian border and is uninhabited, no damages and
losses have been recorded.
Since January 2020, there have been four earthquakes of 3.9 and 4.0 magnitudes in Zavkhan, Tsagaankhairkhan and Tarialan soums of the aimag. Residents did not feel the shakes quite much and did not suffer any loss.
