Stranded swans reunite with the flock
Environment
Khuvsgul /MONTSAME/ A pair of swans that had got left
behind in Mongolia on their way to warm lands in the fall of 2019 and been
looked after in a warm shelter throughout the winter reunited with their
flock.
The swans spent the fall around Lake Khuvsgul and a local brought
home the pair that were left with nothing to eat when the lake completely froze
over following the arrival of winter. Khuvsgul National park's administration then
took the birds and attended to them in a warm shelter at the
volunteer caretaker’s request.
As flocks of swans and other water birds have now arrived at
Lake Khuvsgul, the national park administration released the swans to their
natural habitat.
