Minister N.Tserenbat: Mongolia becomes one of the first countries to renew its nationally determined contribution

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolian delegates led by Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Tserenbat is attending the 25th session of the Conference of the Parties UN Climate Change Conference. During the conference, Minister N.Tserenbat introduced Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) for the Paris Agreement that has recently been approved by the Government of Mongolia, and expressed that he is satisfied with Mongolia having become one of the first countries to renew its NDC.
Over 25,000 representatives of international organizations, private entities, civil society organizations, youth, and press of 197 countries are convening at the conference taking place in Madrid, Spain.
The parties agreed that the current climate changes are not a simple challenge, but an emergency, and held discussions on re-defining their goals to reduce national greenhouse gas emissions, and shift to a new sustainable development system based on scientific research.
