Bulgan /MONTSAME/. Children’s forest program, supported by Japan’s Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement-International (OISCA) and HITACHI Group, is being implemented in Khangal soum of Bulgan aimag.
The soum has been
collaborating with OISCA since 2017. Within the collaboration, children’s
forest program which aims to give ecological education to children is running
at the general educational school.
“OISCA accepted the request of the soum administration to equip the biology cabinet and give ecological education to children, and decided to implement a new project, which aims to practice children in planting and caring. Moreover, children planted berry tree seedlings. Yields of the trees will be consumed for ‘Lunch’ program of the school,” said S.Ichinkhorloo, governor of the soum. Expenses on planting trees and irrigation system have been resolved with the support of HITACHI Group.
In the past two years,
the school children planted 200 trees, expanded vegetation cover in the school
and public park and increased awareness of environmental conservation
within the project of OISCA.
