Establishment of improved fuel plant to be funded with MNT300 million

Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Tserenbat worked in Kharkhorin and
Khujirt soums of Uvurkhangai aimag on April 1-2.
During his rural visit, the
Minister informed about the Ministry’s impending project on accurate computing of water reserves, proper use of surface water and sustainability of ecosystem,
as well as visited Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape and Ongi River in connection
with the Ministry’s plan to implement a project to establish a reservoir on
Ongi River and improve Ongi River flow.
When working in Kharkhorin, the Minister met with local authorities and cultural staff, exchanging views on improving area around Erdenezuu Monastery and increasing tourism services and entertainment activities. The Minister made a decision on financial issues for some activities, including rendering MNT300 million to promote ‘Silk Road’ event and develop tourism in Kharkhorin. In addition, another MNT300 million will be issued to establish a plant of improved fuel at Bayanteeg mine.
