Bilateral cooperation mechanism created in water sector

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The first meeting of Mongolia-China joint working group in water sector was held in Beijing, China on December 13.
Specialists of the two countries exchanged broad views on cooperation opportunities targeted to implementing Memorandum of Understanding on Water Sector between the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia and the Ministry of Water Resources of China in 2016. At the meeting, the sides approved 2019-2020 action plan.
The bilateral cooperation mechanism allows to learn from China which has abundant experience in water consumption, to implement joint projects and programs, to conduct researches, to exchange specialists as well as to introduce advanced technologies for water quality testing laboratory and for protecting surface water and saving water resources.
