Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Asian Juniors Chess Championship-2018’ concluded on August 25. The competition involved 62 players from 11 Asian countries.

In the men’s standard, U.Agibileg took the third place with 6.5 points. With his success, U.Agibileg qualified to become a FIDE Master. 

In women's standard, international master U.Uuriintuya topped with 7.5 points, followed by Chitlange Sakshi from India (7.5) and FIDE master B.Altantuya (7.0) respectively. By doing so, U.Uuriintuya became the 10th Grandmaster of Mongolia as she achieved the title’s third qualification.

In his closing remarks, Deputy Speaker and Vice President of Mongolian Chess Federation Ya.Sanjmyatav noted the ‘Asian Juniors Chess Championship-2018’ is the fourth international-level chess competition held in Mongolia and Mongolian players claimed nine medals out of a total of 18 medals.
