Junior wrestling tournament held among 2048 wrestlers

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ For the first time in Mongolia, a wrestling event challenging 2,048 wrestlers has been held in Khentii aimag.
In honor of wrestling champions emerged from Khentii aimag, the province hosted the Junior Wrestling Tournament of 2,048 wrestlers in its central city Chinggis on September 20-24.
Divided into two competitions – the 2nd National Wrestling Championships of Children aged 5-6 and the Junior Wrestling Championships of Khentii aimag for athletes aged 7-18, the tournament becomes the wrestling event engaging the greatest number of wrestlers in Mongolia.

Acting Defense Minister B.Bat-Erdene, a native of Khentii aimag who holds the highest title in Mongolian wrestling Undefeatable Giant of Nation, was present at the opening ceremony of the tournament alongside eminent wrestlers from the province.
The central city of Khentii aimag previously hosted a junior wrestling tournament of 1500 wrestlers in 2015.
