International day for ozone layer protection to be marked

The Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the National Ozone Unit hold a press conference on the upcoming celebration. Reports were given by A.Enkhbat, Chair of Environmental Assessment and Auditory of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Ts.Adiyasuren, Director of National Ozone Union, Ts.Usukhjargal, Director of the Mongolian Union of Heating, Cooling and Air Conditioning and other officials.
Ts.Adiyasuren, Director of National Ozone Union, emphasized that ozone layer is a sensible air shield which protects people from ultraviolet rays, if this rays increases, it will cause harmful effects on the biodiversity. For example, plants size shrink and a number of diseases arise.
"Due to these reasons, we need to take actions to protect the ozone layer. People use a lot of cooling systems for many reasons, but air cooling chemicals cause negative impact on the ozone layer. In accordance with the Montreal Protocol, use of these chemicals is being minimized.
