Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the International Museum Day to be held on May 18, National Museum of Mongolia organized an event for secondary school students, conducting history classes at the museum.

Students of 7-9 grade and teachers of Mongeni Complex High School participated in the event. The museum has planned to organize a number of other programs as well. Director of the National Museum D.Sukhbaatar said “The event was organized within the framework of multilateral training program for secondary schools to discuss the result of history class and experiences of students and introduce museum’s role and accessibility to the public.”

We are planning to include museum based history classes to the university and secondary school curricula in the future. Thus, it will be possible to experience the true value of history, noted D.Sukhbaatar.

Currently, the National Museum is operating with nine halls and 60 thousand items on display. The museum plans to organize the event annually, involving more schools.
