/MONTSAME/. Mongolia’s delegation, led by Speaker of the State Great Khural
Uchral Nyam-Osor, who is visiting the Russian Federation, laid a wreath at the “War
Horses” monument in Victory Park, Moscow, a gift from the people of Mongolia to
the people of Russia, on February 11, 2026.
A delegation of Mongolian cadets
studying at defense, emergency management, border guard, and police academies in
Russia took part in the ceremonial event.
This monument symbolizes the
sincere support of the Mongolian people during the difficult years of the Great
Patriotic War, when they sent warm clothing, food supplies, and horses to the
Soviet people and the Red Army, and donated the “Revolutionary Mongolia” tank
column and the “People of Mongolia” aviation squadron, both funded by the
Mongolian people.
The foundation stone of the monument was laid on November 3, 2016, on the eve of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Russian Federation, at the initiative of citizen Ganbayar G. The monument was installed on May 5, 2017, ahead of Victory Day, in Victory Park, in accordance with the design by sculptor A. Ochirbold and architects A.K. Tikhonov and V.V. Perfiliev.
