Olympic Champion Nauris Miezis Joins ‘Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy’

Ulaanbaatar, January 8, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The 3x3 basketball team “Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy” has signed Olympic champion, European champion, and World Cup silver and bronze medalist Nauris Miezis of Latvia’s national team, officially adding him to its roster.
As a result, Miezis will compete for “Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy” in professional 3x3 tournaments during the 2025-2026 season. Now 34, he primarily plays an inside role in 3x3 basketball. In addition to winning gold with his team at the Tokyo Olympic Games, he has claimed silver and bronze medals at the World Cup, one gold and three silver medals at the European Championships, and has been named “Most Valuable Player” at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final.
He also carried the Latvian flag together with beach volleyball player Tina Graudina at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Miezis is currently ranked 59th in the world and second in Latvia and will begin the new season with 394,509 ranking points.
