PM Holds Virtual Meeting with Governors in Khuvsgul Aimag

Ulaanbaatar, January 5, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister Zandanshatar Gombojav is working in Khuvsgul aimag.
The Cabinet Secretariat is making preparations to convene a unified meeting of the Chairpersons of Aimag and Capital City Citizens’ Representative Khurals and Governors on January 15, 2026, at which the parties will sign performance agreements.
Ahead of this event, the Government of Mongolia is organizing the present online meeting to provide a unified understanding to the leadership of aimags, the capital city, soums, and districts on the economic, social, and sectoral policies to be pursued in 2026.
Head Deputy Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat Radnaased Shatarbal noted that whereas information had previously been exchanged only among aimag and capital city leaders, this time the information is being delivered in an integrated manner to leaders, department and agency heads, and officials at the aimag, capital city, soum, and district levels. He emphasized that state policies and services must be delivered to citizens without bureaucracy, transparently and openly.
Leaders from 21 aimags, the capital city, and more than 300 soums and districts are participating in the online meeting.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Zandanshatar provided a briefing on the current socio-economic situation, the achievements of 2025, and the government’s strategic priorities for 2026.
The PM addressed the participants about the 300-Day Action Plan that aims at accelerating economic recovery and ensuring that its benefits reach citizens, and urged local authorities to take a proactive role in implementing this plan, which aims to deliver economic growth benefits to citiziens and protects livelihoods, create a more favorable environment for businesses, optimize the role of the government in the economy, and maintain stable macroeconomic growth.
