Mongolia Extends 30-Day Visa-Free Travel for 34 Countries Through 2026

Ulaanbaatar, January 4, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The Government has decided to exempt citizens of 34 countries from visa requirements for travel to Mongolia for tourism purposes for up to 30 days, with the measure extended through the end of 2026.
Specifically, the
visa-free entry for stays of up to 30 days has been extended by one additional
year. Of the 34 countries, 32 are European, while the remaining two are oceanic
countries. In other words, citizens of Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Greece,
Denmark, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, the
Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, the Czech
Republic, Croatia, Sweden, Estonia, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Bulgaria,
Romania, Ireland, Cyprus, Monaco, and the United Kingdom, as well as Australia
and New Zealand from the oceanic region, may enter Mongolia visa-free for
tourism or travel purposes for up to 30 days.
In addition to
these, citizens of 30 other countries are eligible for visa-free travel to
Mongolia for tourism purposes for periods ranging from 14 to 90 days.
The Immigration Agency of Mongolia issued 124,945 visas in
2025, representing an increase of 14.18 percent compared to the previous year.
