Working group of Mongolia-China Intergovernmental Commission holds meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On December 8, the working group of the Mongolia-China Intergovernmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation held a virtual meeting.


The meeting was headed by Director of the Neighboring Countries Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs T.Battsetseg from the side of Mongolia, and Deputy Director of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce Sun Shuqiang from the side of China.


 

During the meeting, the two sides assessed the current state of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and exchanged information on the progress of implementation of the protocol issued from the intergovernmental commission’s 16th meeting held in 2020. They also exchanged views on some pressing issues currently being faced in cooperation, such as the normal operations of the two countries’ border checkpoints, increasing export of mining products from Mongolia, resuming export of non-mining products, accelerating progress of the projects being financed by soft loans and non-refundable aid from China, and finalizing the mid-term program for developing bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
