Order of the Rising Sun conferred upon Former Chairman of State Great Khural

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Last April, the Government of Japan announced in its 2021 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals to confer Mr. Lundeejantsan.D with the Order of the Rising Sun, Grand Cordon.
Today on September 9, 2021, the presenting ceremony of the Order
was held at the Embassy of Japan in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Former Chairman of the State Great Hural D.Lundeejantsan is awarded for his contributions to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting inter-parliamentary exchanges between Japan and Mongolia. He has worked as a member of the Mongolia-Japan Parliamentary Group for consecutive 20 years since 2000.
Vice Chairman of the State Great Hural Mr. T.Ayursaikhan, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia Mr. N.Chinbat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Mr. H.Kobayashi, Secretary General of the State Great Hural Ms. L.Ulziisaikhan and other officials were present at the ceremony.
Mongolia and Japan will be commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2022. Yesterday, the Government of Mongolia in its Cabinet meeting resolved to celebrate the anniversary.
