Deputy Energy Minister participates in Yerevan International Energy Charter Forum

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Minister of Energy M.Bayarmagnai took part in the Yerevan International Energy Charter Forum, jointly organized and hosted by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia and the International Energy Charter on June 16, as a vice chair and opened the forum’s ministerial roundtable.
At the Forum on Facilitating Energy Infrastructure for Sustainable Development, countries emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in adopting green energy and elevating energy security and discussed the role of cross-border energy trade in expanding regional relations and cooperation, smart grids, and best international practices for decentralized energy system.
In his remarks during the event, Deputy Minister M.Bayarmagnai said Mongolia will assume the chairmanship of the Energy Charter Conference in 2022 and that the country, which takes an active part in the regional energy integration policy, has identified future steps that need to be taken locally and regionally.
