Loan program for supporting employment to be increased to MNT 3 trillion

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Cabinet made the following decisions at its regular meeting on June 8.
- The Government has issued an order to develop a comprehensive policy to support persons with disabilities. In its framework, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene has also appointed Founder and Director of Tugeemel Hugjil (Universal Progress MILC) Ch.Undrakhbayar as his advisor in charge of social development.
- Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene gave out an order to develop a policy on comprehensively resolving the pressing issues being faced in Ulaanbaatar city. In connection with the matter, reports on works that have been carried out in 6 districts of the capital city were also presented during the Cabinet meeting.
Following the presentation, he made the decision to allocate necessary funds from the 2022 state budget to establish underpasses at some traffic intersections in aims of reducing traffic congestion in the capital city as well as to construct dams at Belkh and Selkh. The members of the Cabinet also agreed to develop the Gandantegchinlen Monastery area into a site for cultural tourism.
During the Cabinet meeting, a presentation was also done on the ongoing implementation of the comprehensive plan aimed at economic recovery and health protection amid the pandemic with total funding of MNT 10 trillion.
As of June 8, loans with an annual interest rate of 3 percent have been issued to 16,193 businesses. As a result, over 60 thousand jobs have been safeguarded so far. “The loan program is possible to be increased from MNT 2 trillion to MNT 3 trillion,” highlighted the Prime Minister.
