891 new COVID-19 cases reported, total reaches 57,512

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Daily COVID-19 press briefing for today, May 30, by the Ministry of Health, reported that 891 new coronavirus cases were detected after more than 7,800 PCR tests were performed across the country in the past 24 hours.  As a result, the nationwide infection tally is now 57,512, with the cases registered in the capital city grown to 50,976.  


In the last 24 hours, 434 coronavirus patients were recovered, making the number of COVID-19 recoveries 49,754. As of May 30, a total of 4,533 coronavirus patients are being treated at hospitals in Ulaanbaatar city and the rural aimags. 


The National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) also reported four new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 272. The casualties are COVID-19 patients aged between 32 and 83 years old, who were under treatment at the NCCD in Ulaanbaatar city.
