MNOC President elected as member of OCA Committee

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The president of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MonNOC) Mr D.Zagdsuren was elected as chair of the information and statistics Standing Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) during its General Assembly held Wednesday in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

This year’s General Assembly brought together representatives from 45 countries. This is the first time for Mongolia to be elected at the administrative board of the OCA. In addition, the OCA incumbent President Sheikh Ahmad (Kuwait) was re-elected OCA President.

In accordance with a decision of the OCA General Assembly, the 2022 Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou, China.

Mongolia started to compete in Asian Games since 1974, and is considered as one of the co-founders of the OCA which was established in 1982.
