By the decision of the Citizens’ Representative Meeting of the Capital in 2012, 2071.5 hectares of land, habitat of rare plants and animals that important to the ecosystem, were made a locally protected area under the name ‘Selbe Goliin Ekh’ (Headwater area of the Selbe River).
