‘Script of the Eternal Sky-2018’ exhibition opens

For the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chinggis Khan, the National Pride Day, the opening of the ‘Script of the Eternal Sky-2018’ took place at the Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery.

Artworks of 48 artists from Mongolia, Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region of People’s Republic of China, Buryatia and Kalmykia of the Russian Federation and France, were  displayed at the annual exhibition, which has been organized annually since 2011. President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga gave remarks for the opening of the exhibition.

President Kh.Battulga presented the awards to the artists of the best two artworks. The award of the best artwork was received by great master of calligraphy T.Jamiyansuren for his work, ‘Script of the Eternal Sky‘, which has continuously been the trademark of the exhibition for the 6th year.

As for the recipient of the runner up award, S.Tsengel, who participated from the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, wrote “Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra” in three types of scripts: Mongolian script, Clear Script and Vagindra script.

During the opening ceremony, Citizen of France Steve Morel, who is participating with his work “Bestow inspiration upon me”, staged a performance with morin khuur, catching the audience’s attention.

Furthermore, Borkhuu from the Alxa League of the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, presented the Secret History of Mongols in calligraphy on 49 scrolls in a sandalwood chest to President Kh.Battulga. The exhibition will run until November 9 at the Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery, free of admission.
