The exhibition, ‘The Last Queen of Mongolia’, has been recently opened, displaying the exhibits that related to her, being stored in the Bogd Khaan’s Palace museum.
Among the exhibits, the one that caught the attention of the visitors most was her headpiece. The silver headpiece, which was made in the early 20th century by the talented craftsmen of the palace, is decorated with various gemstones, such as coral, pearl and turquoise and has 58 threads of pearl drops with dark pink stones.
Queen Consort Dondogdulam wore the headpiece, weighing 5 kg and 650 grams, during the proclamation ceremony of declaring her as the Tara Queen on December 29, 1911.
