G.Nandinzaya sets a new record in shooting

The 2018 Asian Summer Games is being held from August 18 to September 2, 2018 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang where more than 10 thousand athletes from 45 countries are competing in 40 sports events.
 
State Honored Athlete E.Bekhbayar won the first-ever gold medal of Mongolia at the 18th Asian Summer Games by defeating Kang Kum Song from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in 57kg event of freestyle wrestling.  Moreover, State Honored Athlete P. Orkhon defeated her rival Aisuluu Tynybekova from Kyrgyz by 11:0 in women’s 62kg and won the second gold medal of Mongolia.  
Whereas in shooting event, Mongolia's air rifle shooter G.Nandinzaya set a new record of the Asian Games in the women's 50 meters Rifle with her final scores of 458.8, winning a gold medal on August 22.  In the event, Ch. Narantuya, Mongolia's another shooter and a gold medalist of the 2014 Asian Games, claimed a silver medal, with scores of 451.4.


As of today, Mongolian athletes have won three gold, two silver and four bronze medals at Jakarta Palembang 2018 and at 11th out of 45 countries.
