State Amateur Chess Tournament to kick off on Saturday

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The State
Amateur Chess Tournament which is annually organized under the auspice of the
Parliament Speaker will be commenced on November 10 nationwide.
The tournament will be conducted through three stages. The first round or soum and district-level tournament will be conducted on November 10-11 in all soums and districts at the same time. The semi-final or provincial and Ulaanbaatar city’s tournament will run on December 8-9. The final games will be organized on January 5-6, 2019 at the State House.
Chess players who are aged above 18 and do not have any title of chess sport are eligible to compete in the tournament. Thewinners will receive the national title ‘Candidate Master’ of chess sport and gain the right to compete in the Asia Amateur Chess Championships.
