Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “Cheese product can become a Mongolian brand product and the production should be developed as an independent sector. Mongolia has potential to produce high quality cheese and export it. Favorable legal environment is the most crucial for it” says Michael Morrow, Executive Director of the Mongolian Artisan Cheese Makers Union LLC.
Head of Department of SME and Cooperative Policy Implementation of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ya.Erdenesaikhan met with Executive Director of the Mongolian Artisan Cheese Makers Union LLC Michael Morrow on October 16. The sides shared views on current state of cheese production, its market as well as upgrading legal environment and increasing volume of production.
At the meeting, Mr. Michael
Morrow introduced the activities of the company and a training center which was established for educating cheese makers and
producing world standard cheese made of Mongolian milk.
