Ambassador of Kazakhstan hands over assistance of USD 500 thousand
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Today, on October 17, Deputy Prime
Minister U.Enkhtuvshin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the
Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia K.I.Koblandin.
At the meeting, Deputy PM U.Enkhtuvshin expressed pleasure
with the achievements in bilateral relations and cooperation as well as the enhancing
high-level talks while mentioning some high-level meetings between the two
countries.
He then voiced hope that the Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar’s
visit to Kazakhstan next month will greatly contribute to the expansion of
Mongolia-Kazakhstan relations.
The Government of Kazakhstan decided to provide humanitarian assistance of USD 500 thousand to Mongolia for post-disaster recovery in western provinces including flush flood affected Bayan-Ulgii aimag. Ambassador K.I.Koblandin handed over the assistance to the Deputy PM at the meeting.
The Deputy PM said the assistance will be transparently spent
on the essentials such as cleaning up and disinfecting the sludge and housing
the flood victims.
The sides exchanged views on operating direct flights between Ulaanbaatar and Astana, jointly implementing road projects and other issues.
