Mongolian team becomes world champion in horseback archery

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian team claimed the Grand Prix at the 14th World Horseback Archery Championships held on October 4-8 in Sokcho, Korea.

Mongolian team of E.Erdene, P.Purev-Ochir and O.Tumenbayar led by the Head of the ‘Khan Mongol’ horse riders association Sh.Tsogtkhuu competed with the athletes of various countries including the UK, the US, Russia, China, Korea, Kazakhstan and Germany.

Despite the heavy wind and slippery tracks due to the hurricane, which hit Korea during the competition, our athletes successfully won 1 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals. In addition to winning gold and silver in solo shooting and a silver in team shooting, member of the national team E.Erdene brought the Grand Prix to the team. P.Purev-Ochir won bronze in solo and team shootings, and O.Tumenbayar won silver in team shooting.
