MUST programmes internationally accredited

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The School of ICT at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) became the first university in Mongolia to receive the certificate of 6-year-accreditation from the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) for their telecommunication engineer and wireless network engineer programmes.


The ABET is one of the most well-known accrediting agencies in the world that has been operating for 85 years. As of October 2018, the agency has accredited over 3850 programmes of over 780 colleges and universities’ in 32 countries.

The state policy on education states that no less than 20 programmes for professions in leading sectors will be internationally accredited by 2024. To reach the goal, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports gave assistance in funding the accreditation application for 7 programmes. Currently, 5 programmes of National University of Mongolia, Mongolian National University of Medical Science and MUST have been internationally accredited.
