Mongolia-US trade and economic cooperation to expand
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A business delegation led by Alan Turley, U.S. Department of Commerce’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for China and Mongolia, is paying a visit to Mongolia. The delegation includes U.S. companies
that operate in the fields of telecommunication, agriculture and food security.
In the scope of the visit, Mongolia-U.S. business meeting was
held at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI). A
number of projects and programs backed by the US are being carried out in Mongolia,
contributing to the country’s economic development.
In his keynote address, M.Sarandavaa, Deputy CEO of MNCCI,
introduced activities of MNCCI, voicing pleasure to focus on the development of
bilateral trade and business relations and to promote cooperation.
The US side highlighted the importance of strengthening
bilateral economic ties while expressing willingness to lay the foundation of
further cooperation.Mr.Alan Turley said " U.S. Department of Commerce works to support member companies and make investment to Mongolia. It is a special visit to Mongolia. Our department will pay attention to further cooperation, conducting regular activities and having a specific program".
Moreover, representatives of Mongolian companies gave
information on Mongolia’s meat export, food industry and water policy.
