APP system to be introduced to new international airport

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Advance Passenger Processing (APP) system will be introduced to the New Ulaanbaatar International Airport with purposes to improve border control, allow prompt information exchange between public organizations and empower national capacity to fight terrorism.
It is an electronic data
interchange system that transmits the data of a passenger to border control
agencies in the destination country or country of origin as soon as the
passenger books or checks in. Once transmitted, the data are checked by the
relevant control agencies against various sanctions lists and watch lists used
for immigration, customs and security purposes.
The system is effective in
over 70 countries.
