Major Czech companies take part in ‘Expo Mongolia-2018’

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Expo Mongolia-2018’ international trade fair opened at the Misheel Expo center on October 9. The 6th ‘Expo Mongolia’ is being held under the motto ‘Connecting leading technologies with investments’.



The event is being co-organized by the Government of Mongolia, Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and Mechanical Engineering Industry Association.


More than 50 exhibitors from over 10 countries including the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Korea and China are presenting their products at the expo.


Vice chairman of Mongolian-German Parliamentary Group , MP L.Bold and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Stefan Duppel cut ribbon for the official opening. They wished the trade fair to contribute to the expansion of multilateral relations and increase of  foreign and domestic investment in Mongolia.


In connection with the visit of the Czech Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Eduard Muricky to Mongolia, representatives of 13 major Czech companies such as the Czech Export bank, Hansa, Ospro, Uranium Industry, VITA and Argo Bohemia are participating in the ‘Expo Mongolia-2018’.


Business partners’ meeting was held on the first day of the expo. Additionally, meeting titled ’International Business Cooperation in Mongolia’ featuring the authorities of Oyu Tolgoi, Gobi Cashmere and Wagner Asia took place at the Kempinski Hotel.


On the second day of the three-day event, Senior Adviser to Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Enkhbayar introduced the current situation of Mongolian economy to the international exhibitors.


Moreover, the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development, the Ministry of Road and Transport Development, Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry and Mongolia Builders Federation delivered presentations on their relevant sectors and introduced the state policy on small and medium enterprises.
