MPs meet President of Asia Paralympic Committee

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Having attended the opening ceremony of 2018 Asian Para Games, MP and Head of Parliamentary Standing
Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science Yo.Baatarbileg and
MP D.Ganbold held meetings with Majid Rashed, President of the Asia Paralympic Committee (APC) as well as
Mongolian team participating in the games.
At the meeting with Mr. Majid
Reshed, requests made by MP Yo.Baatarbileg such as encouraging Mongolian athletes,
increasing types of para sports in Mongolia and raising Mongolian athletes’ opportunity
to engage in 2020 Summer Paralympics were approved. The sides also exchanged views
on providing support in training and equipping Mongolian athletes, coaches,
judges for pre-Olympic tournaments to take place in 2019 and developing para
sports in Mongolia.
Present at the meeting were authorities
of the Mongolian Paralympic Committee.
The MPs showed willingness to
address issues faced by the athletes at the meeting with Mongolian team.
