English speech contest national champion announced

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Member of ‘Toastmasters Mongolia’ club G.Tsend-Ayush has become the national champion of the English language speech competition, hosted by the Toastmasters Mongolia.


Over 30 contestants from Toastmasters Mongolia national clubs were selected in the semi finals with their 5-7 minute speeches in English. A total of nine speakers competed for the national champion cup. Member of ‘Great Mongols’ club Ts.Gandolgor and member of ‘Toastmasters Mongolia’ club E.Oyun-Erdene won the second and third places respectively.


The competition was held in the same format as the World Championship of Public Speaking and Mr. Jim Kokocki, the International President of Toastmasters International for 2015-2016, was the chief judge of the contest.


Established in 2010, the ‘Toastmasters Mongolia’ currently has 10 affiliate clubs at the Erdenet Mining Corporation, MBC Tiger, Academy of English, Wagner Asia, NEMA, Trade and Development Bank and Khan Bank.
