Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ In the first 4 months of 2018, 25140 mothers delivered 25310 babies (live births), increased by 2500 mothers (11.0 percent) and 2520 live births (11.1 percent) compared with the same period of the previous year. In April 2018, 6584 mothers delivered 6639 babies (live births), decreased by 32 mothers (0.5 percent) and 15 live births (0.2 percent) compared with the previous month.
In the first 4 months 2018, infant mortality rate per 1000 live births was 15, decreased by 1 and under-five mortality rate was 17, decreased by 2 compared with the same period of the previous year. In April 2018, infant mortality rate per 1000 live births was 13, decreased by 2 and under-five mortality rate per 1000 live births was 16 decreased by 2 children.
In the first 4 months of 2018, maternal mortality was 7 increased by 2 (40.0 percent) compared with the same period of the previous year. Maternal mortality rate per 100 000 live births was 28, increased by 6 compared with the same period of the previous year.
