International Association of Mongolian Studies turns 30

President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga said he will support scholars and researchers on Mongolian studies in order to bring up the Mongolian studies into an international platform. He said it when he addressed a ceremony of the 30th anniversary of the International Association for Mongol Studies (IAMS) took place in the Ikh Tenger Complex on October 25.
 
As of today, the IAMS is being chaired by Agnesh Birtalan, a Hungarian Mongolist. At the ceremony have participated about 100 scholars from Mongolia, Russia, China, South Korea and Hungary.
 
Congratulatory messages were sent from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) and authorities of universities. It was followed by reports themed “30-year history of the IAMS and future” by professor S.Chuluun, Secretary-General of the IAMS, “IAMS and role of historical science” by J.Boldbaatar, and ‘IAMS and studies of Mongolian language’ by Sh.Choimaa.
 
In 2016, President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga was appointed as Vice President of the IAMS.
