Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The number of airways between Mongolia and China will be increased.
Officials of the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia led by its Director L.Byambasuren met with Chinese delegates led by Wang Zhiqing, Deputy Administrator of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on August 8, Tuesday to sign a memorandum of cooperation which enforces the cooperation between the two bodies in three areas.
In particular, the memorandum enables expansion of bilateral technical cooperation, increase of the number of airways connecting the two countries, and facilitation of a mechanism for consistent bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Director L.Byambasuren underlined the importance of close aviation cooperation between neighboring countries, expressing the significance he attaches to the meeting. “Increase of airways between Mongolia and China will help reduce international air traffic overload”, he said.
He also inquired into the possibility of training Mongolian aviation professionals to work at the new airport in Khushig Valley in China. In return, Deputy Administrator Wang Zhiqing expressed support for this proposal, saying that the meeting opened a new page in further strengthening the two bodies’ collaboration.
As such, the sides agreed to work together on training Mongolian pilots, air traffic controllers, engineers and specialists in China and exchange experiences.
