A parliamentary delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland visited the Mongolian Stock Exchange where they hit the gong for Thursday’s trade.
The UK delegation headed by Michael Howard, Lord of Lympne of the House of Lords at the UK Parliament is visiting Mongolia at the invitation of member of parliament Mr S.Batbold.
As a part of the visit, the British delegation paid a courtesy call on President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga on Wednesday.
During the meeting, President Battulga mentioned that the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1963 and noted that although bilateral political ties are strong, trade turnover and economic ties have not reached a satisfactory level.
The UK parliamentary delegates agreed that economic and trade cooperation issues need more attention.
