Walter Jenkins and Maruoka Kenji awarded with ‘Polar Star’ medal

Under the decree of Mongolia’s President, American citizen Mr Walter Jenkins and Japanese citizen Mr  Maruoka Kenji were awarded with ‘Polar Star’ medal.

Chief of the Office of President Mr Z.Enkhbold presented medals to them in the State House. 

Mr Walter Jenkins contributed to the development of Mongolia-USA culture and educational exchanges through ‘Young Leadership’ Program of the Zorig Foundation and students’ scholarship programs. He has invested about MNT 700 million to these programs and projects that involved over 300 young people so far.

A Japanese citizen Maruoka Kenji gives engineering consultancy services to the projects being implemented within the ‘Street’ Project carried out in Ulaanbaatar and provided consultancy service to develop an area of multilayer intersection of Tuul River and Selbe River speed roads.

He was a project coordinator of ‘Narny Bridge’ Project and ‘Narny Road’ Project and head of a working group to formulate a feasibility study on 250 km road of Erdene-Undurkhaan.
