New book on UNESCO and Mongolia inaugurated

On occasion of the 55th anniversary of Mongolia joining the UNESCO, an inauguration of a new book named ‘UNESCO and Mongolia’ was held at ‘Nomin’ hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 31.

Inauguration of the book 'UNESCO and Mongolia’ was attended by former Chairmen and Secretary-Generals of the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO, senior diplomats, members of National Commission, Coordinators, Specialists, who witnessed the 55-year history of Mongolian cooperation with the UNESCO.

Mrs B.Battsetseg, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mrs S.Uyanga Secretary-General of Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO delivered speech at the opening ceremony.

During the inauguration of the book photo exhibition entitled ‘Mongolian Cultural Heritage Inscribed throughout the Globe’ was displayed.

As of today, about 30 pieces of Mongolian culture have been registered in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage, and the exhibition aimed to promote some of these pieces.
